The New Zealand Resuscitation Council trains and certifies Resuscitation instructors, at Levels 2 (Lay Rescuers), 3 (First Responders) and at Levels 4-7 (Health Professionals). Instructor courses are conducted by Resuscitation Training Officers appointed by Council.

CORE Instructor Courses

The New Zealand Resuscitation Council trains and certifies Resuscitation Instructors, at the following level

CORE 3 (First Responders)

On successful completion of an NZRC instructor course, the instructor is then able to deliver defined NZRC courses at that level. These courses will have to adhere to the appropriate guidelines as specified by council in order for course participants to receive NZRC certification.

Emergency Care Instructor Certification

The New Zealand Resuscitation Council certifies Resuscitation Instructors, by an assessment only at the following Emergency Care Instructor (ECI) levels.  These assessment only sessions are conducted by Resuscitation Training Officers appointed by Council and are for Emergency Care Instructors who wish to conduct their own resuscitation and emergency care courses.
