The CORE 3 instructor course is intended for those people who wish to deliver the NZRC CORE courses at levels 1, 2 and 3.  CORE instructors must maintain their certification by delivering a minimum of 3 provider courses a year.  Revalidation is required every four years.

The NZRC CORE 3 instructor course requires satisfactory acquisition of theoretical knowledge and performance of simulated practical skills.  These are facilitated by a six-week period of self-directed learning and attendance at a CORE 3 course of practical skill development and formal assessment.  The instructor course involves instruction and assessment of teaching skill stations and scenarios.

Pre Requisites

•    Have a health professional background with current clinical experience.

•    Have completed a Provider course within 6 months prior to attending the CORE 3 certification course.

•    Intend to be actively involved in teaching CORE 3 certification in his/her work environment.
