Level 2 (ECI 2)

NZRC employed Rescitation Training Officers conduct certification sessions for people wishing to renew current instructor certificates to become an NZRC Emergency Care Instructor at level 2 (ECI 2).

Course Fees

ECI 2 Certification - 3 hours in duration, $110+GST

NZRC ECI 2 is appropriate for instructors teaching emergency care who are assessing against the 6400 NZQA unit standards.  It provides a formal assessment guarenteeing that an instructor has attained a good standard of knowledge of emergency care and is capable of conveying this knowledge as part of his/her teaching.  It is an objective, unbiased, external assessment of the instructor's competence.

Due to changes to the NZQA AMAP, instructors teaching at level 2 are now required to hold an instructor certificate at one level higher than that at which they are teaching.  Therefore level 2 instructors will now be assessed for knowledge and skills equivalent to that of level 3.

Certification Fees

Reassessment fee - up to 1 1/2 hours in duration $50 + GST
Annual Revalidation -
2 hours in duration, cost $75 + GST
