Kevin Nation named Chief Executive

Kevin NationKevin Nation has been appointed to the permanent role of Chief Executive of the New Zealand Resuscitation Council. This will take effect on 8 January 2018. Kevin has served the Council for more than ten years, including as Acting General Manager, and the Council is delighted to finally formalise Kevin’s role.

Kevin's experience includes that of senior nurse in clinical cardiology and resuscitation educator at Waikato Clinical Campus. He is a past member of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation's Basic Life Support task force and is currently Domain Lead for airway and ventilation. Kevin has a strong interest in developing the capability of New Zealand's resuscitation instructors. 

With his appointment to Chief Executive, Kevin will cease to represent the New Zealand Resuscitation Council's resuscitation instructors (CINZ) on the Council but will continue in his role as Chair of CINZ. The duties of CINZ representation on Council will be shared by the CINZ Executive Committee until the Council is notified of a new representative. The next CINZ AGM on 19 April 2018 will include an election of officers.
